Medical killing, T4 and prisoner selection

Medical killing depended on an administrative flow before a patient reached a killing institution. Reports on disabled children passed through the Reich Committee, were prepared for medical assessment and led to transfers to designated children's wards. The paperwork concealed coercion and murder behind diagnostic and scientific language.

Richard von Hegener worked in the Chancellery of the Führer and helped organise that flow. His profile identifies the receipt and circulation of reports, contact with assessors and wards, and a documented programme meeting. It does not convert administrative coordination into a claim that he personally signed every medical assessment or carried out every killing.

Paul Nitsche joined his own trial of killing patients with Luminal at Leipzig-Dösen to increasingly senior functions in T4. As an assessor and later head of its medical section, he participated in selection and supported continued killing by medication and starvation after centralised gassing transports had formally ceased.

Friedrich Mennecke connected the local management of Eichberg with travelling selections in psychiatric institutions and concentration camps under Aktion 14f13. His letters document his working routine, while his non-final death sentence and death before appeal mark the legal limit of the postwar record. No programme-wide victim total is turned into a personal tally for any one administrator or physician.
